Gary M. Broidis, Principal

Following his tenure at Oppenheimer & Co. as a corporate financial analyst, Gary Broidis began his commercial real estate career in 1991.  He was directly responsible for the leasing, management and redevelopment of over 2,500,000 square feet of retail and office properties located in NY, MA, OH, PA, VA and TN.  In 1995, Gary co-founded Net Properties Corp., one of the first Real Estate Internet firms which was later sold in 1997 to a major advertising agency in New York City.  During these years, Gary was a featured national speaker at national real estate conventions and was a qualified continuing education teacher for real estate licensees at NYU School of Real Estate and was featured in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, CNBC and many other news and real estate publications. 

After moving his family to South Florida in 1997, Gary joined the Lefmark Group and was directly involved with the redevelopment of over 20 major retail projects in South Florida including the Kendall Mall, Plaza West, Northridge Shopping Center, Plaza at Delray, Palm Aire Marketplace, Homestead Shopping Center and Lake Park Shopping Center.  Gary also redeveloped numerous Kmart stores into Big K’s with over 100,000 square feet of space within each store.

After leaving Lefmark in 1999, Gary was directly involved with the leasing and redevelopment of over 700,000 square feet of retail properties including Boynton Commons, Coral Palm Plaza, Royal Oaks Plaza and Universal Plaza.   He has been involved in all aspects of land acquisition and development along with leasing and brokerage activities for retail and office properties. Additional activities include exclusive tenant representation for national and regional retailers. 

Gary received his Bachelor’s Degree from SUNY at Oneonta and his Masters of Business Administration from SUNY at Binghamton.  He founded Atlantic Commercial Group in Boca Raton in 2000 and has since been the recipient of many awards and accolades as well as being ranked as one of the top 20 commercial real estate firms in South Florida. 
 
 



David Lipp, Principal

David S. Lipp joined Atlantic Commercial Group in July 2003 as principal following 12 years as Senior Vice President of Retail Services Group with Grubb & Ellis.  David has been an active real estate broker in South Florida for over 25 years and was Grubb & Ellis’s top retail producer nationally in 1996 and South Florida’s top producer in 1994-1996 and 1999.  Prior to Grubb & Ellis, David worked as Vice President of Summit Realty and Development, a developer of retail shopping centers in South and Central Florida. David specializes in retail site acquisition, leasing and disposition of surplus properties.   David has extensive knowledge of land development, property disposition, retail sales and leasing and has represented many national companies including Walmart, Sam's Club, Nissan, Office Depot, Levitz, Lurias, Target, Chevron, Walgreen’s, Marriott, KFC, Arby’s, Taco Bell, McDonalds, and numerous developers, investors and others.  Currently David’s work is focused on retail site acquisition and disposition for Walmart Stores, Inc. and Sam’s Club, Inc in Southeast Florida. David has completed over 40 Walmart and Sam’s Club site acquisitions over the past 12 years. A graduate of Florida Atlantic University, David holds a Business Degree, Florida Broker and California Real Estate Salesperson Licenses and is a member of ICSC.

 


 

Elliott Bronfman, Broker/Partner

Elliott Bronfman joined Atlantic Commercial Group in Februrary of 2005. Before joining Atlantic Commercial Group Elliott spent several years with Summit Realty Leasing & Management Corporation in Boca Raton, where he was a Broker, Director and CEO. Elliott also owned and operated Allstate Commercial Realty prior to joining Atlantic Commercial Group. Specializing in middle and high end markets, Elliott’s Brokerage expertise is in the exclusive and open representation of commercial properties for both sales and/or leasing; representing both sellers and buyers or landlords and tenants in the South Florida market. Elliott has an untarnished reputation for representing all of his clients to the highest standards of ethics and integrity. Elliott will continue to serve his base of clients including numerous retail, office and industrial building owners and tenants.

 


 

Morry Silverman

Morry has over 20 years experience in real estate. In 2004 he relocated to Florida from Cleveland, Ohio when he was transferred prior  to CVS Caremark's purchase of Eckerd Drug. He has worked all over the country developing stores for CVS Caremark and was responsible for opening new markets such as Chicago and Minneapolis.  Prior to working in real estate and acquisitions Morry held various operational positions with Revco Drug and Gray Drug in Florida, Washington DC, Pittsburgh and Cleveland. He is originally from Pittsburgh, PA where he received his BS in Pharmacy from Duquesne University.

 


Robert Locke, Associate

Robert Locke joined Atlantic Commercial Group in October of 2011.

Prior to joining ACG he spent 10 years as an active real estate broker in Florida with Synergy Real Estate Partners. His principal responsibilities at Synergy were retail and office leasing, representing both tenants and landlords. He worked to identify office buildings and shopping centers for sale or lease, warehouse and office space to purchase or lease, as well as other acquisition properties for clients.

Prior to joining Synergy, he was a Senior Vice President of Pueblo International Inc., a privately held food retailer with sales of $1.2 billion and in a private real estate consulting practice. While he was at Pueblo the company operated 53 Retail Supermarkets in Florida, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgins Islands and 22 Blockbuster stores inPuerto Rico.

His responsibilities at Pueblo included management and P&L responsibly for the company’s one million plus square foot Real Estate portfolio; site selection, development of new shopping centers, major and small tenant leasing and maintenance and construction. He was also instrumental in obtaining the Blockbuster franchise for Pueblo and opening all of the Blockbuster stores for the company.

Bob received his Bachelor’s of Science Degree from Hofstra Universityin Industrial Administration, his Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering from Polytechnic Institute and attended the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard University Graduate School of Business.

 



Ira Salk, Associate

Ira Salk has been involved in numerous facets of the real estate industry since 1965. He is an Architect by profession, who spent most of his years blending his architectural background with his interests in construction and development. Over the past several decades he has been responsible for numerous projects that ranged from Single family residential, Multi-family apartment projects to Shopping Centers,Medical and Commercial Office complexes to Super Market construction and a large number of Retail store tenant build outs. He has been involved with the development of numerous Shopping centers and Office Buildings. Currently he serves on the management teams of several of these developments.

Mr. Salk became a Licensed Real estate sales associate in the State of Florida and joined Atlantic Commercial Group in 2006.

 


Robert Geller, Managing Director

 Robert Geller comes to Atlantic Commercial Group, Inc. from the insurance profession. Having an insurance background has made the transition to commercial real estate seamless and has reduced the "learning curve". Robert's attention to detail, excellent follow up and strong negotiation skills, has helped secure many clients a new home, be it office, retail or industrial space.

Robert originally comes from Plainfield, New Jersey, is a Rollins College Graduate, and for the past 30 years has made Florida his home. He is an active member of the Delray Chamber of Commerce (an Ambassador), was a past Area Governor for Toastmasters, holds a leadership role in his BNI networking chapter, and enjoys performing in Community Theater.

 


 

Karen Sanzo

Karen has over 25 years’ experience in the Retail Development, Leasing, Consulting, Tenant Representation, Asset Management, Acquisition and Disposition venues. Prior to joining Atlantic Commercial Group, was responsible for the overall development and leasing for Florida properties, including a 1,000,000 square foot Lifestyle Center in Dade County, FL. She has strong knowledge of property management, operations and marketing to better assist clients with overall asset goals through the implementation of a strategic merchandising and leasing plan. She is responsible for developing and maintaining strong retailer relationships.

Karen’s previous experience includes serving as Vice President of Development and Leasing for Branch Properties, Edens & Avant, and Gumberg Asset Management, where she had a portfolio of over 20,000,000 square feet of retail space throughout the United States. Institutional clients she has worked with encompass some of the world’s largest retail owners including, TIAA-CREF, ING/Clarion, Paine Webber, Prudential, Estate of James Campbell, Simon, Ocwen, CBRE, Grubb & Ellis, MONY, Chase, and Morgan Stanley. Her retailer contacts and deals include everything from international and national anchors to restaurants and luxury retailers such as Gucci. Over the past 25 years, Karen has established and maintained strong productive national and international relationships with Retailers, Developers, and Brokers. She understands how a retail market flows and how the developers and retailers succeed in a market. Her hands-on approach allows her to translate her extensive knowledge base and analysis to her clients, whether retailer or developer.

Karen graduated from Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, CT, and American University in Washington DC with a BS in Pre-Law/Political Science. She also attended the University Of Hartford, MBA Program in Marketing and MIT (Massachusetts Institute Of Technology) in Real Estate Development and Strategy Professional Education. She has a Florida Real Estate Broker’s License.

A native New Yorker and then a New Jerseyan, Michelle relocated 2 years ago and started her Real Estate Career in South Florida. Still maintaining her New Jersey Real Estate License, she worked in the residential market first, until making the switch to Atlantic Commercial Group. Her entrepreneurial background has been building and running her own businesses since the age of 23. Initially starting a promotions/entertainment business which parlayed into owning and running a Full Service Bar & Restaurant for 16 years. Her knowledge in Real Estate includes: multi families, land acquisitions, development, financing, as well as the single family market. She is excited for the opportunity to work with a seasoned Team of Professionals at Atlantic Commercial Group.

Vanessa joined Atlantic Commercial Group in 2014 and is responsible for marketing and administrative activities within the company.  A graduate of Keiser University, Vanessa maintains fundamental organizational, time management, computer, and communication skills pertinent to the success of our association. With an Associates in Graphic Arts and Design/Multimedia, she aims to one day owning her own Graphic Design business.  For now, Vanessa continues to support our team by assisting in fundamental duties related to our goals here at Atlantic Commercial Group.
